Secret double life of SNL writer’s missing sister: As police sensationally dispute family claim that she’s dead, we reveal second identity and fake name… x-rated tapes… and her haunting last note

Two weeks before Christmas, Christina Fowlie Downer – the sister of an award-winning Saturday Night Live writer – posted a picture of herself dressed in a tight red top in her Los Angeles apartment, pouting coyly at the camera.

‘Living at peace. If you wanna send me a Christmas treat, I’ll be waiting. Happy holidays everyone,’ she wrote.

She also added the handles for her Cash App and Venmo accounts in her Instagram bio, giving her 700 followers a way to send her money.

The playful message seemed ‘off’ to friends and family who said they had not heard from Christina for weeks before the December 14 social media post, they told the Daily Mail.

Relatives said their calls went straight to voicemail and text messages were left unanswered.

Christina’s brother, SNL staff writer Jimmy Fowlie, grew particularly concerned when he sent a birthday message to Christina for her 38th birthday on November 5 but received no reply.

Her social media is filled with selfies, videos of her dancing, vacations with friends and beaming pictures with her successful brother, who Christina was very proud of.

But the Daily Mail has learned she led a double life as an adult actress and exotic dancer and, according to people who knew her, had been struggling with her mental health in recent years.

Christina also had a tumultuous relationship with a face-tattooed R&B singer and filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend who she accused of stalking and harassing her.

In an emotional social media post last week, Christina’s brother wrote that investigators had informed the family that his sister was no longer alive.

‘Our prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayer for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable,’ Fowlie wrote on April 29.

‘We have reason to believe that in the weeks before she went missing, her phone and social media were compromised.’

The 40-year-old, who joined SNL’s writing staff in 2022 and co-wrote the viral ‘Domingo’ sketch, added they believe whoever had possession of his sister’s phone used it to ask relatives and friends for money and to create a false narrative that she was going ‘off the grid.’

Investigators confirmed to the Daily Mail that the case has been moved from Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Person’s Unit and is now being handled by homicide detectives.

However, they disputed Fowlie’s claims that his sister had been declared dead.

An LAPD source said: ‘The case has not been classified as a homicide and the circumstance of her missing is suspicious,’ the source said. ‘We are continuing to investigate the case.’

Christina’s ex-husband, Ryan Downer, told the Daily Mail he phoned in a wellness check in December after not hearing from her for weeks.

Ryan and Christina married in 2015 in their hometown of Woburn, Massachusetts, not too far from where Christina danced at a local gentlemen’s club after giving up a career in adult entertainment. She went by the name ‘Chavon Taylor.’

The pair separated in November 2023, citing ‘irreconcilable differences,’ according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

But it was amicable.

‘I even drove her to the airport,’ Ryan said when his former wife relocated permanently to LA to pursue a career in modeling after their breakup.

They continued to share their beloved mini pinscher, Rex – who Christina was looking after at the time she disappeared – despite the 4,000-mile distance, and they often talked over the phone and text.

Ryan called authorities when she didn’t respond to him for weeks.

‘It just doesn’t make any sense why she would leave without telling anyone. That’s not like her. We just want to know what happened because none of it makes any sense.’

When cops did a welfare check at her apartment in Koreatown, the place was clean and tidy with nothing out of the ordinary, Ryan told the Daily Mail.

‘The dog seemed healthy and everything was clean,’ he said, adding the police didn’t believe there was any evidence his ex-wife rushed out the door or was forcibly removed.

‘But she would never leave Rex like that,’ Ryan said. ‘It was either me or her who took care of him.’

The Daily Mail has learned that Christina had an on-and-off relationship with a local LA R&B singer named Delorean Bijon Brandon.

In his videos, Brandon paints himself a ladies’ man with songs like ‘Panty line’ and ‘Pay Me.’

Brandon also has a criminal record, including a theft case of property worth more than $950 in 2004.

Brandon was also arrested in December 2012 for alleged domestic violence and intimidating a witness, but the LA County District Attorney’s Office failed to file a case within the allotted time.

Ryan told the Daily Mail that Christina and Brandon had a toxic relationship and she often left him voice messages complaining about their dynamic.

‘There really wasn’t much I could do because I was so far away, but also there was just so many times you can tell someone to leave that situation,’ Ryan said.

‘But she would never listen.’

In September 2024, Christina filed a temporary restraining order against Brandon’s ex-girlfriend, claiming she had been harassing them for years.

‘She calls us n*****s, threatens to beat me up. Stole my spare key and copied it. Threatens to break into my home,’ Christina wrote in court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

Christina also claimed in the court document that the woman had stolen a zip drive and obtained nude pictures and videos. She alleged the woman also distributed a topless video of her to strangers and was threatening to release other videos.

Christina also claimed the woman stole her orange tabby cat named Pumpkin.

‘This is my cat with my boyfriend,’ she wrote in the court documents. ‘She won’t give the cat back. I fear for his safety.’

Christina was granted the temporary restraining order which barred the woman from coming within 100 yards of her.

However, the order was dropped after neither side showed up to an October 2024 hearing where a judge was to decide whether to extend the restraining order request.

When the Daily Mail visited the ex-girlfriend’s home, an orange tabby was seen purring in the yard. Brandon’s alleged girlfriend was not at the home.

Brandon told the Daily Mail that Christina had trouble getting modeling work and was struggling with money. The singer claimed he had nothing to do with her disappearance and that he also was concerned for her safety.

He said the stress of making it in Tinsel Town took its toll on her and she allegedly mixed drugs to cope with the stress.

He alleged Christina gave him an ultimatum and told him that filing a restraining order against his ex would keep him away from her. He also told the Daily Mail that Christina’s alleged drug use would alter her moods, causing her to yell and fights between them.

‘She was doing different types of drugs which was making her super paranoid,’ he said via an email interview.

‘It made her into a person who wasn’t living anymore and just yelling all the time for stuff – from mood changes [because of the drugs].’

He added that Christina would say she missed making ‘that quick easy, fast money from her stripping and adult film star days.

‘She spoke about going back into porn again and was getting back in contact with her old managers and trying to start it back up,’ Brandon claimed.

Brandon said Christina’s brother, who was on the top of the world with his rising success as a writer at SNL, tried his best to help his sister by showing some tough love.

‘She didn’t care about what her brother thought of her anymore because she always spoke about how he makes so much money but he doesn’t help her with anything without putting her on some strict responsible schedule of tracking her spending, just to get a little help,’ Brandon said.

‘So, she wanted to try to keep proving herself to him that she could do normal jobs but the connection still wasn’t there and she was giving up hope on a regular life.

‘She was working in Koreatown in underground karaoke spots, strip clubs, different ones,’ he said.

‘I had no knowledge of amongst other fast life activities that I wasn’t aware of but knew nothing was off limits with her getting her money.’

The singer added he is also worried for her well-being.

‘I’m just as worried about her disappearance just as much as everyone else.

‘I don’t have anything else to say about her, just that I miss her, wherever she may be. I hope she’s OK.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Fowlie for comment.

Fowlie has been silent on his social media but has asked the public to reach out to LAPD homicide detectives with any information about his sister. Their childhood pictures with their older sister, Johanna, remains on his profile.

The award-winning writer even hit the pavement with other volunteers, most recently passing out 150 cheeseburgers at the notorious McArthur Park area in Downtown LA, which is known for rampant open-air drug trafficking.

Sadly, no information came out of that search.

Fowlie took custody of his sister’s dog and brought the pup back to Brooklyn.

Ryan said he now has Rex, who is also waiting for her return.

‘Obviously, something happened and we just don’t know what,’ the former husband said.

‘We just want answers, and I know the police are doing what they can. Right now, it’s just very confusing and we just want her back.’
