Love Island USA fans were not welcomed into the season 7 villa in the way they were hoping.
The hit Peacock series was set to premiere its seventh season on Tuesday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET, but one minute after the episode was set to begin the streaming service tweeted a social media message announcing the show would be delayed.
“WE GOT A TEXT! Tonight’s episode will be slightly delayed. But it is worth the wait. Stay tuned!” the official X account for Peacock wrote, adding the Love Island USA hashtag.
According to Deadline, Canadian fans were able to access the episode on the CTV streamer, hinting that the issue is a technical glitch from Peacock.
The episode was available to stream as of 10 p.m. ET.

Once fans became aware of the Tuesday evening delay, they didn’t hesitate to share their frustrations with the streaming service. “SO WHAT THE F*** IS THE PROBLEM @peacock ?????,” one person asked, while another wrote, “Peacock got me stalking their page for love island like i’m stalking an ex.”
A third person simply wondered: “Peacock where the hell is love island?”
Others, meanwhile, joked about taking matters into their own hands. “Imma go into the peacock hq myself and release the love island episode atp WHERE IS IT?” one fan asked. “Yall brb I’m breaking into peacock to click the premiere love island button for us,” another added.
Per the official synopsis, Love Island USA “features a group of sexy singles on a search for love in a beautiful Fijian villa. Throughout their stay in a tropical oasis, Islanders will couple up to face brand new heart-racing challenges and bigger twists and turns than ever before.” as “temptations rise,” drama ensues as new “bombshells” enter the villas, “forcing Islanders to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or recouple with someone new.”
Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix is back as host for season 7, along with Iain Stirling serving as narrator. The seventh season will feature an array of fresh new faces from all over the country including North Carolina, Oklahoma, Hawaii and Michigan.
