Finally, the new Little House on the Prairie show seems to be closer than ever now, with Netflix dropping a touching new trailer for the much-anticipated reboot. Following in the footsteps of the first Little House television series, the upcoming series will adapt Laura Ingalls Wilder’s cherished novels once more. The world that Ingalls created appears to have sprung out of the pages and onto the screen in the trailer, and the cast becomes the central focus of viewers’ admiration here.

As the trailer for the show leaves the audience impressed with the new casting, the internet has been busy scouring for these talented individuals.

Everything you need to know about the Netflix Little House cast

Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls: The young actress, who is known for her portrayal of Madeline Zott – Brie Larson’s daughter from Lessons in Chemistry – will play the narrator of the story.

Skywalker Hughes as Mary Ingalls: Hughes will play the eldest daughter of the Ingalls family, and her previous acting credits include Joe Pickett, Ordinary Angels, and In the Blink of an Eye.

Luke Bracey as Charles “Pa” Ingalls: The patriarch of the family, Bracey’s Pa is one of the central figures in the Ingalls’ quest to survive in a foreign land. The actor has previously been seen in Elvis and The Holidate.  

Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline “Ma” Ingalls: Fitzgerald plays the pillar of strength for the Ingalls family as Ma. She previously appeared in Palm Royale, Crime 101, and The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox.

Warren Christie as John Edwards: Christie plays an enigmatic man from Tennessee who served in the Civil War. His acting credits include The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, A Royal Montana Christmas, etc.  

Jocko Sims as Dr. Tann: Sims has previously been seen in New Amsterdam, How to Die Alone, The Last Ship, Crash, and so on.

Meegwun Fairbrother as Mitchell: Fairbrother’s Mitchell is a kind man who already resides in Kansas, where he has established a beautiful homestead and become a prosperous farmer. His acting credits include Burden of Truth, Helix, Mohawk Girls, and many more.

Alyssa Wapanatâhk as White Sun: She plays Mitchell’s wife and has been seen in Bones of Crows, Cottonmouth, Peter Pan & Wendy, etc.

Wren Zhawenim Gotts as Good Eagle: He is the son of Michell and White daughter, and she has previously featured in Echo, Together We Can, etc. 

Xander Cole as Little Puma: Cole plays White Sun’s younger brother and is known for Welcome to the Neighborhood, Web of Spider-Man, You Can Take It with You, and more.  

Ryan Robbins as Russell Kind: Robbins plays Kind, a seasoned settler with a pessimistic outlook on life, and has been a part of projects like the Sniper movie series, Riverdale, Sanctuary, etc.

Barrett Doss as Emily Henderson: Doss will portray Emily, a friendly entrepreneur and proprietor of Independence’s general store. She is known for Station 19, The Noel Diary, and more.

Michael Hough as Eli James: Hough’s Eli James is an enthusiastic railroad developer who welcomes new residents to Independence. His acting credits include Chapelwaite, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, etc.

Mary Holland as Jemma James: Holland will play Eli James’s busybody wife, and is famous for Nightbitch, Senior Year, etc.

Rebecca Amzallag as Lacey Aubert: Amzallag (The Shadow Man, Mommy’s Little Star) will play Lacey, a contentedly widowed and single misfit who runs a bar and card room on the outskirts of town.

Maclean Fish as Adam Scott: Fish (Dark Harvest, Shoresy) will portray Adam, a dashing bachelor who appears to have had no hardships in his life. 

Kowen Cadorath as Caleb: Caleb, a teenage orphan who works for Emily at the General Store. Cadorath has previously appeared in Skymed and The Jinglebell Jubilee.

Thosh Collins as Louis: Collins will portray White Sun’s amiable and composed cousin. He is known for Reservation Dogs, It: Welcome to Derry, Echo, and more.

While this is the cast of season 1 of Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie, the streamer has already cast some of the characters of season 2.

Casting underway for Little House on the Prairie season 2

The second season of Little House on the Prairie has already been renewed by the streamer, and they did it way ahead of the release of the first season, in March 2026. Some of the actors who will play Nellie Oleson, her mother Margaret Oleson, and educator Eva Beadle have already been cast for season 2, even though their names remain under wraps.

The showrunner and executive producer will be The Housemaid, The Boys, and Vampire Diaries fame Rebecca Sonnenshine. Other EPs include Dana Fox, Susanna Fogel, Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, and Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, who had long desired a revival. Anyhow, the cast for the first season of the reboot seems absolutely scintillating on paper, and it will be interesting to see how they impress the audience on screen.
