A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was stabbed while out with a group of teenagers on the Central Coast before turning up on a stranger’s doorstep.
Emergency services rushed to Painters Lane in Terrigal at 9.45pm on Friday after reports the teenager was seriously injured.
Police have been told the boy was with several other teenagers when he was stabbed.
A short time after the incident, he alerted a random homeowner on Painters Lane for help, who rang Triple Zero, police said.
Paramedics treated the boy at the home before he was rushed to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and are expected to provide further details at a press conference today.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to contact them.
They are particularly seeking anyone with mobile phone or dashcam footage. Information can be provided to Gosford Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
