Back in 2025, John Cena opened up about his decision to get a hair transplant to tackle his genetic hair loss, saying, “There is no shame in that. I have a problem, I try to fix it.” He underwent the procedure in November 2024, and in August the following year, he said the results had “completely changed the course of [his] life.”
As John explained at the time, a hair transplant is essentially performed by moving “your hair, one by one, from one area to another.” Most patients achieve their desired results with a single procedure; however, in some cases, a second round of treatment might be necessary to achieve maximum density or to address ongoing hair loss. Read more about it here, if you’re interested.
Which brings us to now: John has just revealed that he recently had his second hair transplant — and this time, he “went all in for [the] best possible results.”
On X on June 29, John shared the medical update alongside a photo of himself and his doctor at the Anderson Center for Hair, where he received treatment. Notably, he is rocking a bald head — which is presumably what he meant when he said he “went all in” for this round. (FYI, while it’s not essential to fully shave your head for a hair transplant, many people do to make the procedure easier to carry out and hopefully ensure better results.)
At the time of writing, the X post has 4.2 million views and over 50,000 likes. And on Reddit, there are a ton of positive reactions — both about John’s bald-headed look and his willingness to share his hair restoration journey with the world.
“As I’m getting older, I’m realizing how many people get hair transplants. Way more than I thought! Props to him for being open about it,” someone wrote. Another added: “Go off, king!! Love that he feels comfortable sharing & normalizing the conversation.”
As for his “great” new look, someone wrote: “Good for him. But honestly, his head shape is not bad. If he ever decides to embrace it, I don’t think people would ever think it looks bad.” “I actually kind of prefer him this way…,” echoed someone else.
Whether it’s a full head of hair or totally bald, John’s pulling it off — and above all, you’ve gotta love his openness. We’re on this journey with you!
