Indigenous-Owned Gas Retailer Expansions : Indigenous-owned gas retailer

Gen7 Fuel is considered Canada’s sole Indigenous-owned gas retailer, and the company is extending its operations into British Columbia with new locations in Osoyoos and Oliver.

By partnering with the Osoyoos Indian Band, the company builds on its successful Ontario operations while introducing competitive pricing that has previously reduced local fuel costs by up to 10 cents per liter. Beyond affordability, Gen7 distinguishes itself by minimizing administrative overhead to keep prices low while maintaining fuel quality comparable to major competitors. Its convenience stores similarly offer cost-conscious alternatives to mainstream brands and broaden consumer choice in the regions.

Indigenous customers, specifically Osoyoos Indian Band members, receive additional advantages, including full tax exemptions on fuel purchases. This reinforces the Indigenous-owned gas retailer’s commitment to Indigenous economic rights.
