KFC is famous for embracing finger food culture, and since its Rice Bowls are positioned as “fork-lickin’ good” rather than “finger-lickin’ good,” the fast food chain created the bespoke Finger Lickin’ Fork, designed with the help of jeweler Sam Ozanne.
A few of these prized eating utensils are being given away to the brand’s social media community, especially since the brand got feedback from fans that the bowls were too messy to enjoy by hand. “The all-new Rice Bowl is a delicious lunchtime product, but it’s obviously more difficult to eat with your fingers. The Finger Lickin’ Fork solves that for our biggest fans,” said Meg Stigant, junior brand manager at KFC.
Feeding into KFC’s signature slogan, the silver fork comes in the shape of a hand, complete with finger-like prongs and a palm for scooping.
