Kristi Noem has left her position as Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Shield of the Americas but remains in an advisory role at the State Department.
Noem had taken the job in April after being let go by Trump as the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
‘Kristi Noem’s envoy status expired last month and she is no longer in the role,’ a State Department official told The Daily Mail.
She will continue to work on Shield of the Americas, a military and political coalition focused on fighting drug traffickers, as a senior advisor under Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
At a September meeting of leaders of the 19 members of the Shield of the Americas, Trump thanked Noem ‘for doing a really terrific job.’
It comes as scrutiny has returned to Noem’s personal life, with husband Bryon demanding she pay him spousal support, according to court documents.
Her firing at DHS came shortly after photos published by the Daily Mail revealed Bryon posing in tight pink shorts and a flesh-colored crop top stretched over enormous fake breasts, as part of a ‘bimbofication’ fetish.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the State Department for comment.

Bryon’s legal team filed his official response in Hamlin County, South Dakota, weeks after Noem moved to end their 34-year marriage.
Noem, 54, officially filed her complaint on September 28, citing irreconcilable differences ‘for settlement purposes only.’ She reserved her own right to seek financial support from him.
Bryon’s newly filed answer accepts the marriage is over but demands the court green light monthly payments from Kristi to him.
Neither filing sets a dollar figure and no judge has awarded either side compensation yet.
The couple’s three children are all adults, so child support is not in play. Kristi’s legal team also told the court they reserve the right to add fault-based grounds if the pair cannot reach a settlement.
Noem was fired from DHS on March 5, with Markwayne Mullin confirmed by the Senate as replacement shortly after.
She was axed by Trump after testifying on Capitol Hill that the President personally approved a controversial $220 million advertisement campaign.
The lavish ad campaign featured Noem riding on a horse at Mount Rushmore in her home state of South Dakota, and galloping beside a stampeding herd of bison.

Noem was grilled by her fellow Republicans during her Senate committee hearing, including hardline GOP Senator John Kennedy.
Kennedy suggested during his question that Noem participated in the commercial to promote herself rather than the President’s agenda.
‘The President approved ahead of time you spending $220 million running TV ads across the country in which you are featured prominently?’ Kennedy asked her.
Noem claimed Trump personally approved the campaign to which Kennedy replied, ‘to me, it puts the president in a terribly awkward spot.’
‘I’m not saying you’re not telling the truth,’ Kennedy continued. ‘It’s just hard for me to believe, knowing the president as I do, that you said, “Mr President, here’s some ads I’ve cut, and I’m going to spend $220 million running them” that he would have agreed to that.’
The shocking confrontation from Noem’s fellow Republican sent shockwaves through the White House.
Trump fired her just two days later after saying he had never approved or reviewed the advertising campaign.
