Have you ever been absolutely hating your life while stuck on a long flight with a crying baby? If so, it sounds like Dan Levy feels your pain.
Appearing on a recent installment of the Are You Okay? TikTok interview series, the Schitt’s Creek star was asked, “What is a hill you’re willing to die on?” His reply? Baby-free flights.
“I firmly believe there should be one airline flight with no babies,” he said.
“Especially like a long-haul flight,” he continued. “No offense to the babies!”
A take as spicy as this was always bound to stir up some discourse, so parents are already speaking out online. And for the most part, it seems like they’re in agreement with Dan’s baby-free flight idea.
“As someone who has flown with a 1-year-old multiple times, I support it,” one Reddit user wrote in response to the video, which has 1.1 million views and counting. “Then if someone is bothered enough to actually say something about a baby (which has never happened to me), you can just say, ‘should have paid for the baby-free flight.’”
Interestingly, while agreeing with the no-babies flight idea, some parents pitched a flight exclusively for families with little ones.
“As a parent, I literally don’t blame him,” someone wrote. “Make baby-free flights for people who don’t want to be stuck in a metal tube in the sky with a wailing baby, AND make flights specifically for people traveling with babies/small children so we don’t have to deal with the stress of disturbing the rest of the plane on top of the baseline stress of traveling with kids. Win-win as far as I’m concerned.”
