Crazed baseball fan launches flying kick at another as second vicious brawl breaks out in the stands in Chicago within a week

Chaos broke out in the stands during the MLB game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets on Sunday, with one fan even launching himself feet first at another during the brawl.

It is the second time within the space of a week that White Sox fans have been filmed fighting during a game.

During Chicago’s win over the Mets, footage emerged of several men exchanging brutal punches and kicks in a fight that spanned almost the entirety of a section of seating at Guarantee Rate Field.

It remains to be seen what started the fracas but a large group of fans could be seen punching, shoving and stomping each other as helpless bystanders desperately tried to get out of the way.

‘There’s a kid’, one fan sat nearby can be heard shouting while others screamed and gasped at the situation unfolding.

One fan was even pictured jumping feet first from several rows above to kick and stomp a rival sat below him in the stomach. The victim could then be seen grabbing the fan who jumped by the shirt and flinging him down more rows of seating.

It comes just days after Chicago’s Crosstown Classic descended into chaos when fans of the Cubs and White Sox brawled at Wrigley Field, leading to arrests and drugs charges.

Shocking footage on social media showed punches and drinks being hurled as around a dozen men clashed during the Cubs’ 7-5 win over the White Sox.

Other fans scrambled out of the way and screamed as the violence erupted in the stands, with one man in particular taking a barrage of punches as he attempted to defend himself.

Eventually, security guards and police officers clambered into the stands to separate those fighting.

According to TMZ, three people were arrested over the violence, with a 41-year-old man charged with misdemeanor battery and felony possession of cocaine, while a 33-year-old and a 29-year-old were charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Clips on social media showed an elderly security staffer attempting to keep apart two quarrelling groups of fans. Then one man kicked out at a rival, sparking the shocking brawl.

The battle lines were not drawn across baseball lines, with fans in Cubs jerseys seen punching each other while many others filmed the scene. One was seen walking away with blood pouring down the side of his face.

It was not the only clip from Wrigley Field to flood social media recently. Footage appearing to show a Cubs fan shoving a woman while attempting to retrieve a home run ball also sparked outrage among supporters.

On the field, Tristan Peters hit a home run in the ninth inning to give the White Sox a 2-1 victory over the Mets.

After the Mets tied it in the top of the inning, Peters drove a pitch from Kodai Senga 406 feet into the center-field seats to seal Chicago´s 11th walk-off victory this season – and second of the series.
