Chrissy Teigen is getting candid about why she doesn’t think nipples are particularly “risqué.”

Teigen, 40, shared a series of photos of herself taken by fashion photographer Yu Tsai on Instagram on Sunday, June 28. The images featured the model and entrepreneur in a sheer white blouse, and several of the photos revealed the outline of her right nipple.

Teigen made it clear that she doesn’t consider the photos — and her nipples specifically — overtly sexual.

“I think because they have been cut into disks and reattached to my body like three times and also they’ve fed babies and stuff I really don’t think of nips (mine especially) as sexy or risqué but my apologies if you do,” she wrote in a comment on the post.

“I hope u will survive it 🙏🙏🙏 almost sure u will. Love u so much,” she added.

Her post and subsequent comment were met by a flood of support from fans and commenters.

“Love your sassy honesty,” one person wrote in the comments.

“Yes ma’am free the nip!” someone else chimed in.

Teigen has opened up about her relationship with her breasts in the past, previously revealing that she has had three breast surgeries. 

“I've had a lift, a put in, a take them out. I don't like them out,” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2024.

Teigen first revealed she had breast implants in March 2020, explaining that she underwent plastic surgery when she was 20.

"It was more for a swimsuit thing," Teigen, who made her modeling debut in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, told Glamour UK at the time.

"I thought if I'm going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed," she continued.

"I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line. But I want them out now,” she added. “If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift."

Teigen — who shares kids Luna, 10, Miles, 8, and Esti and Wren, both 3, with husband John Legend — added that she had some hesitancy about going through plastic surgery again.

"I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every 10 years," she said. "But when you have kids, you think about [the risks] of surgery and I think, 'This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery.' "

The following month, Teigen announced on Instagram that she would be getting her implants removed. 

“They've been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie!” 

"So don’t worry about me! All good," Teigen added. "I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat."
