The showcase offered visitors an opportunity to engage with Danish design history through both rediscovered and celebrated works. The centerpiece was the pp101 chair, a previously unrealized 1955 design by Hans J. Wegner. Now being brought to life for the first time, this silhouette is characterized by clean lines and balanced proportions. The mid-century chair design exemplifies Wegner’s aesthetic while remaining functional for modern dining settings. Its introduction at an accessible price point makes it a notable entry into PP Møbler’s catalog.
Alongside this debut, the exhibition honored the 75th anniversary of the Flag Halyard Chair, one of Wegner’s most distinctive designs. Live demonstrations showcased the intricate hand-weaving process behind its construction, providing an intimate look at the craftsmanship that defines PP Møbler’s approach. A special edition featuring wooden feet — a nod to the original 1950s design — further reinforced the chair’s enduring legacy.
