Brittney Griner and Cherelle Griner’s relationship is undergoing a turnover.

Seven years after the couple tied the knot, and two years after they welcomed son Bash Raymond Griner, Brittney filed for divorce in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. 

According to the July 30 filing obtained by E! News, Brittney and Cherelle have been living apart with no intimate relations since July 24. 

The filing notes that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken” and alleges there is “no hope of reconciliation.” 

As for their 2-year-old son the filing suggests “it is in the best interests of the Child that the parties be awarded joint physical custody of the Child on a temporary and permanent basis with the parties having parenting time as determined in accordance with the Child’s best interests.”

Brittney also asks that child support be awarded and determined in accordance with Georgia’s Child Support Guidelines. 

Additionally, the filing requests their marital assets and debts be divided equally and that Brittney be awarded “her separate, non-marital property, including but not limited to inherited property as well as pre-marital property.”
