Eric Roberts and Julia Roberts‘ apparent bad blood was simply a runaway rumor.

Runaway Train actor addressed speculation about a possible rift between him and his younger sister, sharing a rare glimpse into their sibling dynamic. 

“It’s not true—it never was true. We’re fine,” Eric shared on the April 14 episode of the It Happened in Hollywood podcast. “We have disagreements, as people do, but we like and respect each other very much.”

Beyond emphasizing that she’s a “wonderful actor” and “wonderful human,” he commended her role as a mom of three.

“She’s even a wonderful mother,” he continued of Julia, who shares 21-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and 18-year-old son Henry with husband Danny Moder. “That’s the hardest job there is.”

Making his point crystal clear, when it comes to the 58-year-old, Eric added, “She’s a cool chick and I like her.”

But while their relationship is firmly on solid ground, like most siblings, they don’t always see eye-to-eye on the small stuff. He noted, “The only issues we have are like day-to-day disagreements on whatever, but it’s not a thing.”
