U.S. Leading Indicator drops more than expected in April, but doesn’t yet signal recession

The U.S. Leading Indicator slid 1.0% to 99.4 in April, a bigger drop than the -0.8% consensus and steeper than the 0.8% decline in March, which itself was revised from -0.7%, according to data released by The Conference Board on Monday.
