Two adults and a child were found dead early Wednesday in a $1 million San Diego home after a neighbor reported hearing ‘loud bangs’ overnight.
Police said they were called to the home on Boulder Lake Avenue in Lake Murray shortly before 8.20am after getting a call from a concerned neighbor, who said she ‘heard loud bangs the night before.’
She then became concerned when she noticed the child did not leave for school on Wednesday morning, and used the key she was given to pet sit for the family, to enter the home, 10 News reports.
She then found a husband and wife dead in a bedroom and the couple’s 11-year-old daughter deceased in a separate room, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
A firearm was involved in the incident, police told CBS 8, noting that officers had never previously been called to the home.

Officers are now investigating the incident as a potential murder-suicide, noting there is not believed to be any ongoing threat to the community.
