Trailer Unveiled For Stéphane Brizé’s ‘A Good Little Soldier’, Venice

EXCLUSIVE: Stéphane Brizé’s A Good Little Soldier world premieres at the Venice Film Festival this week before heading onto Toronto for its North American debut and Deadline can reveal the first trailer.

Brizé’s 11th fiction feature, A Good Little Soldier sees the director return to his exploration of the workplace at the heart of previous dramas The Measure of a Man, At War and Another World.

Alba Rohrwacher stars as high-performing, dedicated HR manager Carlotta whose professional and personal life is brought to the brink when she is confronted with a case of toxic management.

In his sixth film with Brizé, Vincent Lindon, who won best actor in Cannes for his performance in The Measure of a Man, plays the pushy CEO of the corporation where Carlotta works.

When he sets a mission to promote employee well-being while maintaining demanding performance goals, compromises become unavoidable, threatening to push her to breaking point.

Gaumont, which is handling international sales announced a flurry of deals in the leadup to Venice, a number of other territories also under negotiation.

A Good Little Soldier is a Gaumont production, lead produced by Sidonie Dumas, in coproduction with France 3 Cinéma and with the support of Canal+. Gaumont will release the film in France where the film launches in cinemas on November 25.
