Tiger Woods breaks his silence after his ‘return to rehab’ in Switzerland following brief reunion with Vanessa Trump

Tiger Woods posted an emotional Memorial Day message on Monday following his rumored return to rehab in Switzerland.

Golfweek cited a report from Celebplanes.com on Sunday that showed the 50-year-old’s Gulfstream V jet took off on Saturday night from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida and landed at Zurich airport.

The golf icon was in rehab in the European country following his driving under the influence (DUI) arrest in March, but was pictured returning to Florida on May 13.

But Woods emerged on social media on Monday morning to post a message of thanks to military personnel on Memorial Day.

He wrote: ‘My father was a Special Forces operator with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of service. To all those like my father, we all say thank you for your sacrifices. Without them we wouldn’t have the greatest country on Earth.’

It emerged earlier this week that Woods was still in Switzerland when girlfriend Vanessa Trump was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this month.

The 48-year-old, who is the ex-wife of President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Don Jr, revealed on Wednesday night that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is ‘working closely’ with doctors on a treatment plan.

The mother of five made the devastating announcement on Instagram, while adding that she had undergone a ‘procedure’ earlier in the week.
