Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 kicking off this week on June 11, Amazon has rolled out a new World Cup experience on Fire TV devices, making it easier to jump into any match during the tournament, which will feature 104 live games.
The new FIFA World Cup 2026 experience is now available on Fire TV devices in the US and can be found in the navigation bar at the top of your screen. The hub, powered by Fox One, the streaming home for World Cup coverage in the US, brings live matches, highlights, and full replays together in one place. You can check out what it looks like below.
If you’re a Fire TV user, this World Cup hub does look like it’s going to be pretty handy, because with 104 matches packed into just over a month, that’s a lot to keep track of, especially if you’re rooting for a few different teams like I am.
That said, to stream most of the matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026, you’ll need a Fox One subscription or access to a live TV streaming service like YouTube TV that carries World Cup broadcasts.
However, while most games will be behind a paywall, a small number of matches will be available to stream for free.
Which World Cup games can you stream for free?
Tubi will be the place to go
So far, only two World Cup matches have been announced as available to stream for free. That includes the opening game on Thursday, June 11 at 3 PM ET / 12 PM PT between Mexico and South Africa, as well as the US Men’s National Team’s first match against Paraguay on Friday, June 12 at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT.
Both games will be available on Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported streaming service, which you can download directly on your Fire Stick or Fire TV from the Amazon Appstore.
Outside the US, Amazon says free content, including “highlights and expert commentary,” will be available to Fire TV users in the UK and Germany.

Alexa+ is ready for the World Cup

Additionally, Amazon has announced that it’s updated Alexa+ to be ready for the World Cup. So if you’re a Prime member with access to Alexa+, or you’re subscribed directly to it, you’ll be able to use Alexa+ to find matches to watch or keep you up to date on the latest scores.
For example, you can ask questions like “Alexa, take me to the soccer match on now,” “Alexa, what live soccer matches are on today?” or “Alexa, when is Argentina’s first FIFA World Cup match?” and Alexa+ will provide all the details.
All in all, with the World Cup right around the corner, I’m glad to see Amazon has created a dedicated hub for Fire TV users. For someone like me who’s planning to keep tabs on a few different teams throughout the tournament, it should be a convenient way to track matches, catch highlights, and jump into any games I’m interested in watching on my Fire TV Stick. It’s also nice to see that a couple of matches will be available to stream for free on Tubi, although I do wish there were a lot more free games being offered.
