This is the Linny Garage in Anchorage.
I’ve parked there many times and never thought much about the name. Today I got curious and Googled it.

This is Linny Pacillo.
In the 1990’s she got a parking ticket downtown.
This pissed Linny off.
So Linny became the Anchorage Parking Fairy.
She even got her own Fairy-Mobile.
She spent every day patroling downtown for meters about to expire, and topped them off. Just to piss off the Anchorage Parking Authority.
She was so committed, so prolific, that she single handedly put the Anchorage Parking Authority out of business. They were deemed pointless, defunded, and no longer exist.
All because of Linny.
Linny died in 2006.
To honor her, the city broke ground on the Linny Pacillo Parking Garage. It was completed in 2007.
She was posthumously awarded a key to the city, and was awarded the official title of Anchorage Parking Fairy.
