No, Teyana Taylor is not heading back to school—but the Oscar nominee proved her and ex Iman Shumpert’s daughters Junie, 10, and Rue, 5, are her spitting images in their adorable back-to-school photos.

In heartwarming pictures shared to the NBA alum’s Instagram Aug. 13, the kids struck one pose after another for their “first day” in their back-to-school outfits and backpacks. In one snap taken outside of the school, Teyana—putting the trio’s resemblance on full display—squatted next to Junie and Rue, looking just like their grown-up doppelgänger.

In the comments section, the Coming 2 America actress shared her love by dropping a double heart emoji. 

Of course, Teyana wouldn’t miss her daughters’ first day of school for the world, as she’s been vocal about how important they are to her.

Indeed, while accepting the inaugural Icon of the Year award at the 2026 BET Awards in June, she gave Junie and Rue a special shoutout.
