Teenage boy is killed and three other people are rushed to hospital after car ‘being pursued by police’ crashes into Audi: Teen, 17, is arrested

A teenage boy has been killed and three other people rushed to hospital after a car crashed into an Audi following a reported police chase.

The collision, involving a white Nissan Juke and a black Audi A3, took place at a junction on the A37 Wells Road in south Bristol at around 4am on Sunday.

A teenage boy, who was a passenger in the Nissan, died at the scene following the pursuit by an unmarked police car.

Ambulance crews rushed to the junction and took three other people to hospital, where their condition is believed to be non-life-threatening.

Among them were two teenage passengers who had also been in the Nissan, and the man driving the Audi.

Officers later arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was taken to hospital, where he was assessed for his injuries, before being taken into police custody.

The road remained closed while a police investigation took place, and reopened after 4pm once the vehicles had been removed.
