Summer House star West Wilson’s cousin is arrested on suspicion of murdering his GRANDMOTHER

A cousin of Summer House star West Wilson allegedly murdered their grandmother after an argument about ‘doing chores’, police said.

Dakota Sweeney, 28, was arrested April 22 after allegedly shooting his 75-year-old grandmother Gayle Wilson in her home in Carroll County, Missouri.

According to police, Sweeney and his grandmother got into a ‘disagreement’ over Sweeney not doing chores earlier in the night.

After sitting on the couch for around half an hour, Sweeney then allegedly shot his grandmother in the head ‘without warning’, the court documents said.

Court records cited by KMBC said Sweeney’s grandfather Roger witnessed the shooting, and pointed the suspect out to police at the scene.

The suspect was arrested at the home and is facing charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

The shooting unfolded the night before Sweeney’s famous cousin West Wilson returned for a special reunion episode of Summer House.

Sweeney is currently being held at Caldwell County Jail, and he was denied bond.

According to the probable cause statement of his arrest, Sweeney was found with a ‘holster’ on his person when he was taken into custody.

His bond appearance is next scheduled for May 6.

Wilson was described in her obituary as having ‘lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, and cherished moments.’

Her family said the grandmother had recently completed her ‘bucket list’ item of traveling to all 50 US states, shortly before allegedly being killed by her grandson.

‘Gayle was an artist at heart,’ her family wrote in the obituary. ‘She leaves behind a loving family.’
