Police swarmed a street in western Sydney as they investigated reports of a suspicious object. 

Officers were called to a building on Parkes Street in Parramatta on Friday at 11.20am after being contacted by a member of the public, a NSW Police spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

Police could be seen wearing vests outside the building as they secured the scene.
