Evacuate the dancefloor—So You Think You Can Dance has come to an end. 

Nearly two years after the Fox dancing competition series aired its 18th season, the network’s president Rob Wade confirmed the show is not returning any time soon. 

“Obviously, a really important show in the history of Fox, and right now, there’s no plans to order another season,” Wade told reporters, per Variety, referring to the network’s upcoming 2026-2027 television schedule. “We’ve had conversations about it, but nothing formal.”

SYTYCD served as a cornerstone of Fox’s summer schedule for almost 20 years, with past judges including Allison Holker, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss, as well as others such as Dance Moms alums JoJo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler

Meanwhile, the series also scouted talent that went on to become huge stars in their own right including Dancing With the StarsWitney Carson, Ariana DeBose and Tate McRae. Meanwhile, the series also included celebrity hosts including Lauren Sánchez Bezos, who helmed its inaugural 2005 season, and Cat Deely
