Sickening new claims about millionaire parents of spoiled teen accused of killing schoolgirl in 100mph crash of $94k BMW: Distraught father breaks silence

The father of an 18-year-old woman killed in a fiery BMW wreck has blasted the ‘money hungry’ teen accused of crashing the car while going 100mph.

Om Patel was allegedly behind the wheel of a 2024 BMW M4 on March 22 when he reached 102mph in a 45mph zone. He flipped the $93,695 luxury car along a state highway in Missouri after leaving a boozy birthday party, an arrest affidavit alleged.

Tessa Walker, one of the three passengers in Patel’s car, was killed after suffering a ‘fractured skull with brain matter exposed,’ according to the affidavit.

Patel and Walker, both 18, were ‘not close,’ the schoolgirl’s brother revealed to the Daily Mail in the immediate aftermath of the crash.

The pair had ‘mutual friends which put them together that night,’ he said, adding that no member of the Patel family had ‘reached out to our family or shown any sort of compassion.’

Now, more than three months since her tragic death, Patel and his family have yet to express their condolences, according to the Walkers.

Walker’s father Andrew ‘Drew’ Walker, a single dad of five, condemned Patel in a heartbreaking social media post Monday morning. ‘Yall [sic] killed the wrong mf baby,’ he said.

‘If you reached out just one time I woulda forgivin [sic] you. One call or text or email. Even from a second party. Anonymous flowers. Anything. Because I myself seek forgiveness daily and I understand the level of regret you may or may not feel.

‘What I’ve gathered is you prioritize your reputation and money over my daughter’s life and my family’s sorrow. But I don’t think you feel it. Not yet at least. your boyish decisions created a trajectory that will affect generations.’

Drew went on to criticize Patel’s millionaire parents, Amarkumar and Heena Patel, who bought their son the wildly powerful car for his 16th birthday. Amarkumar made his fortune as a contractor and hotelier.

‘I know the son takes cues from the father,’ he wrote. ‘I don’t want your money. my values obviously transcend yours. F*** a dollar. F*** entitlement. god bless your walk.’

Patel was charged with second-degree involuntary manslaughter on June 5, nearly three months after the deadly crash. He has pled not guilty to the charge.

The 18-year-old, who was covered in Walker’s blood after the crash, told police, ‘I drove and killed her,’ after the sportscar overturned and became in engulfed in flames, according to the arrest affidavit.

He also ‘admitted to coming from a party,’ deputies said in the affidavit.

Walker died at the scene. The driver and his other passengers were taken to a nearby hospital with varying injuries.

Investigators discovered the crash occurred after Patel and his passengers left a classmate’s 18th birthday party at 4am.

‘Evidence of underage consumption of alcohol was located,’ the affidavit said.

Patel had a blood-alcohol content of .047 percent following the crash, according to police. The legal limit for people under the age of 21 in Missouri is .02 percent.

Officials arrived on the scene of the crash just after 4am on March 22 and found the vehicle engulfed in flames.

‘Once the fire was put out, responders located [Walker] deceased in the back passenger side of the BMW,’ the affidavit said.

Authorities performed a ‘speed scuff analysis’ which found that the BMW was traveling at ‘a speed of at least 102.65mph’, according to the filing.

The investigation also found that the car appeared to have impacted the ground and flipped over one full rotation before coming to a rest on its wheels.

Patel was booked into jail shortly after the crash, but later released as officials continued to investigate.

He was arrested again on June 5 after the Platte County Prosecutor’s Office charged him with second-degree involuntary manslaughter.

Patel entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment last week and was freed on a ten percent bond of $2,500, court records show. He is due back in court in August.

If convicted, the teen faces up to four years in prison.

Walker leaves behind her father and four siblings, Jaxson, Trey, Elli and Kira. Her mother, Amanda Webb, died in 2020 at 34 years old.

The teen was preparing to graduate high school this spring and attend Northwest Missouri State University in the fall, her obituary read.

She excelled academically and had received several scholarships to help fund her continued education.

Walker was an artist, writer and competitive athlete who was active on Park Hill High School’s volleyball, girls’ flag football and track teams.

She also volunteered with the Midwest Innocence Project through the school’s Professional Studies program.

The Daily Mail has approached Patel’s attorney and his parents for comment.
