Shakira brought plenty of sparkle to the first-ever FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show, and her outfit was just as headline-worthy as her performance.

The singer took the stage at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., wearing a custom Roberto Cavalli ensemble by the brand’s creative director Fausto Puglisi, complete with more than 200,000 Swarovski crystals, an exclusive sunset-inspired print and couture details that took more than two weeks to create.

Designed to shimmer under the stadium lights and move effortlessly through Shakira’s signature hip-shaking choreography, the custom two-piece look paired a crystal-covered bodysuit with a dramatic fringed skirt in “golden hour” hues of orange and yellow with pink accents. The look featured a custom Ray of Sunset print inspired by Roberto Cavalli’s iconic Ray of Gold motif.

Even her 34 dancers joined in the fashion moment, wearing coordinating Roberto Cavalli costumes inspired by the superstar’s one-of-a-kind ensemble.

The dancers took the field in two look variations: a two-piece set featuring a criss-cross top and matching skirt and a sleeveless T-shirt paired with baggy trousers. Their looks were also crafted in the Ray of Sunset print in shades of orange and yellow.

World Cup queen Shakira was joined by Burna Boy to perform the anthem “Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 World Cup. Madonna, BTS and Justin Bieber also performed during FIFA’s inaugural World Cup final halftime show, a historic 11-minute set curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The performance aired live during the championship match between Argentina and Spain, where Spain took home the trophy in a 1-0 game, marking their second win since 2010.

This show concluded with the PS22 Chorus, made up of over 50 fifth graders from PS22 in Staten Island, who sang “We Dance,” an original song by Coldplay for the show. The kids performed with Coldplay, the Muppets and Emmanuel Kelly.

Shakira also hit the stage at Mexico City Stadium for one of the World Cup Opening Ceremonies. For that performance, she and her dancers wore custom Off-White. The basis of her look was a bright yellow bodysuit with cutouts, which she layered under white and lavender shorts. Her sneakers tied all three colors together.

Her dancers rocked a variety of white looks with yellow accents, including basketball shorts, tennis shirts and crop tops. They rounded out the looks with white sneakers and yellow gloves.
