SCOTLAND (3-4-2-1)
ANGUS GUNN – 4/10
Got his right hand to Matko’s sidefooted shot to make it 1-1, but couldn’t stop it going in. Let down by defence at second.
JACK HENDRY – 4.5/10
Made key blocks from Cerin and Vipotnik and did well with the header leading to the opener, but slack after break.
STEPHEN WELSH – 4/10
Looks good on the ball, but was caught positionally a few times — notably at chances for Cerin and Sturm. Subbed for Hickey.
LUIS BINKS – 4/10
Should have been tighter to Matko at the equaliser, booked and then missing in action at Slovenia’s second goal.
ANDY ROBERTSON– 4/10
Huge block on Vipotnik before the break, but nowhere near the same attacking force he was in North Macedonia.

Scotland captain Andy Robertson takes on Slovenia’s Zan Karnicnik at Hampden
LEWIS FERGUSON – 4.5/10
Made an excellent early tackle on Vipotnik, but just couldn’t help stem the tide in a ragged end to the game for Scotland.
BILLY GILMOUR – 4.5/10
Some nice touches and passes in the first half, but the midfield was posted missing after the break. Looked tired.
BEN GANNON-DOAK – 5/10
Delivered the cross for the opener and did well in the first half at wing-back, but faded after the break and went off.
JOHN MCGINN – 4/10
Looked more like himself in the first half, but struggled with the rest of the side as the game wore on. Must do better.
RYAN CHRISTIE – 4/10
Great opportunism for the opening goal and fizzed a shot straight at keeper early in second half. Poor otherwise.
Ryan Christie celebrates after giving Scotland the lead against Slovenia
OLI MCBURNIE– 4.5/10
Got no real service and did put in plenty of effort, but the ball just didn’t roll for him on the night. 20 caps now. No goals.
Oli McBurnie tackles Slovenia defender Erik Janza at Hampden
SEBASTIEN POCOGNOLI – 3.5/10
Too late with subs. His team didn’t press as he wants and Gilmour and Ferguson looked tired. Bowie should’ve started.
