A Michigan teenager was seriously injured after shots rang out at an after-prom party, forcing her to flee the scene, only to be hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Jordyn Williams, 17, suffered multiple broken bones and was left unconscious after a car struck her when she ran from a shooting outside an event space on Saturday night, according to her family.
The horror unfolded at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Fruitport, a small town near the coast of Lake Michigan.
Four people suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Fruitport Police Department said the shooting stemmed from a dispute, ‘and was not an active shooter situation.’
Another victim was also struck by a vehicle in the mayhem. Police have not revealed the other victims’ identities.
Law enforcement has not announced whether any arrests have been made or if anyone is in custody.

Jordyn’s father, Andre Williams, said in a Facebook post on Sunday that his daughter was excited to go to the prom before her magical night ended in an unimaginable tragedy.
‘My baby girl started her night with such good vibes. Excited about the prom… looking absolutely gorgeous. But now I’m staring at you with tubes down your throat… unconscious with multiple wounds and broken bones,’ he said.
A GoFundMe for Jordyn’s family added: ‘No parent should ever have to worry if their child will come home after what was supposed to be a joyful occasion.’
The family is raising funds for medical bills, to make their home wheelchair-accessible and additional expenses while Jordyn is hospitalized.
Jordyn’s father wrote on Tuesday that all he wanted for his 45th birthday was for his daughter to recover.
Williams told local Fox affiliate, WXMI, that his son broke the shocking news to him on the phone.

He said his son told him to ‘hurry up’ and get to the hospital because Jordyn had been run over by a car.
‘I just couldn’t believe that was my daughter lying there,’ Williams added.
Jordyn has been recovering at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
The teen had surgery to repair a fractured left femur, and she will need another surgery on her knee. Her pelvis was also broken in three places.
Jordyn’s mother, Tamara, told local NBC affiliate KSDK that her daughter has sickle cell anemia and described her as ‘shy and soft-spoken.’
She added that Jordyn had designed her prom dress herself and sewn the bodice by hand.
A neighbor of the VFW, Lisa Bosworth, told the outlet that she heard over 30 gunshots on the night of the shooting and woke up to see teens fleeing through her yard.
‘There was cars parked all the way down to the dead end sign, and they were scrambling and screaming for their lives,’ she added.
Police are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Fruitport Township Police Department.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Williams’ family for comment.
