RHOSLC’s Angie K Reveals Whether She Is Dating After Split

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas is shutting down speculation about whether she has started dating anyone following her recent split from estranged husband Shawn Trujillo.

“Absolutely not,” Angie, 52, insisted on the Wednesday, November 4, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen when host Andy Cohen asked her about possibly seeing someone new. “I have not been out with anyone or kissed anyone.”

Reports emerged in July that Angie and Shawn had separated mere weeks after their 27th wedding anniversary. Fans previously speculated there might be trouble in their marriage when Angie did not acknowledge her anniversary via social media. (Angie and Shawn tied the knot in 1999 and share a daughter, 15-year-old Elektra.)

During Wednesday’s WWHL interview, Angie clarified that there was no singular incident that caused the breakdown of her marriage.

“I think it’s just 30 years, people change,” she explained. “You get into this place. … I talked about it with my dad where you question, ‘Is this just being together for 30 years?’ Is this normal, feeling not connected anymore?”

Angie recalled that she and Shawn were “acting like parents but not acting like a married couple” prior to their separation.

“[We weren’t] going on dates and being loving and affectionate with each other,” she noted.

However, the Bravo star assured Andy, 58, that she and her ex are now on the same page when it comes to focusing on their daughter Elektra’s wellbeing.

“I’m doing my best. Coparenting is going amazing,” she said. “We dressed up together for Halloween. We just took a trip together.”

Asked whether she and Shawn are still “getting along well,” Angie confirmed, “Yes, yes. Right now, it’s 30 years together, it’s hard to break away from [it]. It’s hard to get away from your routine of 30 years together. Putting our daughter first means still having dinner together.”

In September, Angie exclusively shared with Us that RHOSLC season 7 captured her at a true crossroads in her life as she considered whether it was best to end her marriage.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 7 will be better than ever, according to star Angie Katsanevas. “It’s going to be amazing. I think there’s a lot of … focus on deep friendships, which is what I believe makes Salt Lake City successful,” Angie, 52, exclusively told Us while promoting the new “GoDaddy […]

“I think for a long time I was quiet about things that I was going through, so I could show up for other people,” she told Us. “And I’ve gotten to the point where I’m being more open about what’s going on, and sometimes that can make it — it can be harder because I’m trying to show up for my daughter right now.”

Acknowledging that she was in “self-preservation mode” at the time, Angie added, “[My daughter and I] spent every day together [over the summer] from, you know, waking up at 4:30 to go to lessons for her horse — she’s an equestrian, as you know — and then we go to Pilates and we go swimming, we do activities.”

“So I filled my entire summer when we wrapped [RHOSLC] with spending every waking minute with my daughter,” she revealed to Us.

Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
