As it turns out, Jason decided the day and setting was too picture-perfect not to propose there, frantically texting the couple’s friend Ashley for help getting the ring from his hotel room to the little island. And she delivered, not only successfully bringing the ring but also setting up a romantic moment for the pair. 

“We come up to shore, and he’s like, ‘Hey, babe, come over here,’ and I see flowers and champagne, and I just think he’s being sweet,” Savannah explained. “Because keep in mind, I had been in the ocean all day. I was in a swimsuit. I had hair, makeup not done, none of that. So, I had no idea. I was just like, ‘Oh my god, he’s being sweet.’”

After pouring Savannah champagne, Jason retrieved the ring from where Ashley had hidden the box beneath a palm tree.
