Apple has unveiled an upgraded Mac Studio with two new configurations—one powered by the M4 Max and another featuring an entirely new processor, the M3 Ultra, making its debut with this model. Designed for power users and professionals, the new Mac Studio is set to push performance boundaries, thanks to its unprecedented levels of unified memory and storage—though its premium pricing is equally notable.
The M3 Ultra is optimized explicitly for AI-driven workloads, with Apple claiming it delivers up to 2.5x the performance of the M1 Ultra. However, Apple has yet to compare its speed against the M2 Ultra. This chip allows for an industry-leading 512GB of unified memory, which Apple touts as the highest ever in a personal computer.
Mac Studio will launch on March 12.
