Poetic Rippling Lighting : yurameki

The Yurameki kinetic lamp transforms lighting into living art that responds to touch. Inspired by the gentle ripple of water, designer Jingwen Gu crafted layers of interlocking acrylic slices that shift light and shadow with each movement. The result is a tactile, meditative experience that reframes illumination as an interactive art form, offering a calm visual escape from the static quality of most table lamps.

Through simple user interaction, sliding the lamp up or down changes how light travels through the layered acrylic. Shadows dance softly across surrounding surfaces, producing a soothing rhythm that engages both sight and touch. With its curved form and quiet presence, Yurameki invites moments of reflection. More than a source of light, it becomes a small performance of color and shadow, turning an everyday object into an instrument of contemplation.
