Sixty years since its television debut, the Star Trek franchise remains one of the most popular sci-fi franchises in history. Though NBC canceled Gene Roddenberry’s original series after three seasons, Star Trek developed a massive fanbase whose adoration kept the franchise alive.
Fans convinced NBC to keep the series going after season 2, and it eventually spawned several movies and TV sequels and prequels, many of which are available on multiple streaming services. With Star Trek celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year, Pluto TV has a special gift for all the fans out there.
Starting on August 14, Pluto TV will relaunch a special Star Trek pop-up category featuring channels dedicated to the iconic sci-fi franchise. Along with that, Pluto TV will expand its Star Trek lineup by adding two new channels, giving Trekkies more free content to stream.
It is unknown how long this expansion will last on Pluto TV. However, Cord Cutter News reported that it will remain through September 8, which is Star Trek Day, and could stay on the platform afterward. Since you don’t need to have an account or pay anything in order to access Pluto TV, it makes for a must-see streaming service for Star Trek fans.

Star Trek fans can stream all these films on Pluto TV from their web browsers. They can also access the service on Android and iOS devices, streaming sticks and boxes, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and smart TVs made by Sony, LG, Vizio, or Hisense.

Pluto TV still doesn’t have every series in the Star Trek franchise. It is missing Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Short Treks, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Nevertheless, Pluto TV still features a wide selection of stories from different eras of Star Trek’s history. With the service’s latest update, Trekkies can now enjoy all the franchise’s theatrical films without spending a penny. Pluto TV truly has gone where no streaming service has gone before.
