The mom of two accused of attacking her husband and young children with a knife before sunrise in a Dallas suburb was seen loudly arguing with her husband just the day before, the Daily Mail has learned.
Police arrested Holly Evelyn Flores, 37, on October 6 after police responded to her Northlake, Texas home following a 911 call placed by her husband at 4.30am.
First responders discovered her husband, identified by their next door neighbor as Justin Hommel, 34, with a stab wound to the head.
The couple’s two children, a three-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy, were also found with stab wounds.
Justin and the children were rushed to a Fort Worth hospital and are expected to survive. Flores was taken into custody and now faces two counts of attempted capital murder.
Flores has not indicated any motive for allegedly attacking her family, police said, but according to one witness, the couple got into a heated outdoor screaming match just the day before.
‘Yesterday I saw them arguing. I was out here working, I don’t know what the fight was about but I could see her pointing and waving her arms. She looked upset,’ an eyewitness told the Daily Mail.
The witness, who was working construction next door, claimed he saw Justin ‘standing there listening and holding the baby,’ while his wife yelled at him.

‘I didn’t think much of it; all couples fight. Plus she was so small compared to him.’
Police later revealed on Tuesday that they had been called to the Hommel residence five times since March for wellness concerns.
Neighbors inside the quaint Dallas suburb told the Daily Mail they were shocked to learn that the ‘picture perfect’ neighbors were anything but.
‘They just look like the picture perfect family. The kids are so beautiful,’ one neighbor told the Daily Mail.
Another neighbor said that the couple were always polite and waved, and he never saw signs of any trouble from the family since they moved in 2020.
Their neighborhood reputation as the idyllic family is evident throughout their social media accounts.
Flores, who goes by Holly Hommel on Facebook, frequently shared photos of her husband and children.

On August 17, Holly Hommel shared a family photo of the four of them standing in front of a beach pier.
Holding her three-year-old daughter, Holly is pictured smiling and standing in front of Justin, who is cradling their infant son.
The day before, she posted another picture of her two children, showing her daughter kissing her son’s forehead.
Holly also appears to run a balloon decorating business. She has shared numerous photos of client’s Halloween parties, grand openings and birthday celebrations.
Justin appears to work as a health insurance expert.
‘Think of me as the Health Insurance Guru…’ Hommel wrote on his professional Facebook page, topped with a photo of him with Holly and their daughter.
Justin and the children are currently in the hospital, surrounded by family, police said, adding that their injuries are non-life threatening.
‘They’re still in hospital for observation, but I believe they are going to be okay,’ Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford said to reporters on Tuesday.
Holly is in custody at the Denton County Jail and faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of assault. She has not yet entered a plea, and police said she has not said much about what happened inside the home.
‘She’s more just in a, um, a stare, just not really saying a whole lot,’ Crawford said.
