The Philadelphia Eagles released an update after a second-year running back was carted off the field with an injury.
During a preseason game against the New England Patriots, Jackson got injured on the opening kickoff.
It’s unclear what exactly led to the injury which left Jackson laying motionless on the 25-yard line before being loaded onto a cart and taken to a local hospital in an ambulance.
According to NFL.com, Jackson is now back with the team and traveling to Philadelphia.
A statement from Jackson’s agent, Damien Butler, read: ‘Tonight, above everything else, we thank God that Ja’Quinden is doing well after what was an incredibly frightening moment.
‘I just spoke with Ja’Quinden. He is awake, has full movement and use of all four limbs, and his CT scan came back negative.’

The game was stopped and an ambulance was brought onto the field to take him to the hospital
Butler continued: ‘What happened tonight was frightening for everyone who witnessed it, and we are extremely grateful to the Philadelphia Eagles medical staff and all of the first responders who acted quickly and took great care of Ja’Quinden in those critical moments.
‘We also sincerely appreciate all of the prayers, calls, messages and concern that have poured in for him tonight. With God’s continued blessings, Ja’Quinden looks forward to rejoining his teammates and getting back to work in training camp.’
Players from both teams knelt near the sideline as he was strapped onto a stretcher. Eagles players then surrounded Jackson briefly before he was loaded into the ambulance.
Jackson could be seen briefly raising his left arm, before play resumed a few minutes later.
After the game, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel offered his well wishes to the player.
‘First of all, I would just like to send our thoughts and prayers out for Ja’Quinden Jackson,’ Vrabel said as he opened his press conference.
‘Never like to see that. Obviously, hope everything’s okay there. That’s not how you want to start any game.’
The 24-year-old only signed with the Philadelphia Eagles 12 days ago, after being waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars back in May.

He played college football at Texas initially, before entering the transfer portal and landing at Utah in 2021.
After three seasons there, he played his final year at Arkansas before going undrafted in the 2025 Draft.
He is yet to play a regular season NFL game after being cut by the Jags in last year’s preseason, before going on to sign a reserve/future contract with the team in January.
