
A packed bus has crashed in Queensland with 29 passengers injured, and at least two with life-threatening injuries.
The coach rolled over on the Bruce Highway at Gumlu between Townsville and Bowen about 4pm on Thursday.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene shortly after 4.30pm.
Queensland Ambulance said it has sent 11 crews and two rescue helicopters to the area.
Police have closed the Bruce Highway near the crash site in both directions with delays expected to last hours.
One person remained trapped in the bus with fire crews working to free them.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area or expect lengthy delays.
