David Wilcock’s time on Earth has ended in a tragic way.

The paranormal writer and YouTuber—who built a platform through his videos about science and spirituality—died on April 20 in Boulder County, Colorado, authorities told TMZ. He was 53.

The incident reportedly unfolded around 10:44 a.m. after deputies received a 911 call regarding an “unknown problem,” though officials later told TMZ the emergency communications specialist believed the caller was in the midst of a mental health crisis.

When they arrived at the residence—which was located just outside the small town of Nederland—deputies found a man standing outside with an undisclosed weapon. 

Minutes later, officials said the man used the weapon on himself and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the outlet.

Following the incident, authorities said they searched the home and surrounding property but didn’t find anyone else. They’re now working with the Boulder County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death, per TMZ.
