Originally, Viagra was made and studied to treat hypertension and a cardiovascular disease called angina pectoris. Now it’s used for erectile dysfunction. Adderall has had many uses over the years. At one point in the late 19th century, it was used “to reduce appetite and encourage weight loss.” It was reformulated in the ’90s to treat ADHD.
