Halle Berry Disputes Photo Evidence In Custody Battle

According to documents obtained by USA TODAY, Berry filed a response on October 13, disputing Martinez’s use of the photograph in the case involving their 13-year-old son, Maceo. The response came one day after Martinez filed documents on October 12. He claimed Maceo “immediately took a picture of” his mother after the alleged September 26 incident because he feared he wouldn’t be believed.

However, Berry’s filing argues that the photograph does not support the allegations being made against her. According to her response, the image shows her standing apart from Maceo, her hands in her pockets. Her legal team also pointed out that the photograph does not depict any injuries, redness, or bruising. They added that there are no visible marks on the teenager’s neck to corroborate Martinez’s claims.

The Actress Challenges Olivier’s Claims Over Boyfriend

Halle Berry is also pushing back on Olivier Martinez’s reported use of a statement from her boyfriend, Van Hunt, in the ongoing custody dispute. Halle reportedly claims Olivier misrepresented Van’s account, explaining that Van only said he did not notice any marks on 13-year-old Maceo, rather than claiming he physically examined the teen for injuries.

Berry Cites Son’s School Troubles

In addition, Halle accuses Olivier of selectively presenting messages while leaving out context she believes is important to understanding the situation. She also alleges that Maceo’s behavior at school has worsened since a temporary restraining order was issued. Berry further claims that the teen recently received a full week of disciplinary detention.

Furthermore, Olivier is seeking to have Maceo testify about the alleged incident. Halle, meanwhile, continues to deny abusing her son during a dispute involving a virtual reality game. Moreover, she maintains that the situation began as playful roughhousing that escalated. The former couple’s competing accounts continue to unfold as their custody battle moves through the court system.
