Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Rafa, a
captivating four-episode documentary series premiering globally on May 29,
2026. Produced by Skydance Sports and directed by Emmy winner Zach Heinzerling,
the series follows the 22-time Grand Slam champion from his early childhood to
his resilient 2024 competitive return.

“This is the story of @rafaelnadal (Rafael Nadal)”, the
recent X post by Netflix states. The project moves beyond traditional sports
highlights to explore the immense physical toll and constant pressure endured
by the superstar. Viewers will witness his legendary rivalries with Roger
Federer and Novak Djokovic that defined a tennis generation.

The documentary shines a light on a deeply vulnerable
athlete fighting his most relentless opponent, which is his own body.
Heinzerling noted that the true surprise of the project was the willingness of
the tennis icon to reveal the deep uncertainty behind his ultimate greatness.

me was his willingness to reveal the uncertainty and vulnerability behind that
greatness,” said Zach Heinzerling, Director and Executive Producer, as per Netflix.
