In case you missed it, Morgan Wallen’s been at it again.
Notably, in 2024, Morgan pleaded guilty to throwing a chair off the rooftop of a six-story bar in Nashville. Now, another inanimate object has faced his wrath.
On Friday, May 29, Morgan was performing in Denver as part of his Still the Problem Tour, and while singing his 2021 song “Sand in my Boots,” he appeared to experience a technical issue onstage. Frustrated by the situation, he walked over to the upright piano on stage and flipped it right over, leaving it on the ground in a bad way.
Videos of the moment began circulating online, and Morgan was subsequently mocked for his “childish” behavior. “Wow, what a mature, emotionally stable, and completely rational response!” one person wrote on Reddit, while someone else accused him of “behaving like a toddler.” “Embarrassing,” they added.
In a TikTok posted on June 1, Morgan is seen in what appears to be a backstage dressing room, pressing keys on a red keyboard while wearing headphones. “Hey, I just want you guys to know that right now this piano is working,” he says in the clip, moving close to the camera. “That’s what they told me last night,” he quipped.
The video, which currently has over 250,000 likes, was captioned: “Can’t you tell I’m so distraught over my piano.”
Well, as they say, the show must go on. My thoughts go out to whoever had to clean up the mess.
