Hot Girl Summer has officially started, y’all!! Megan Thee Stallion made a special guest appearance on last night’s episode of Love Island, and it was every bit as iconic as you would think.
The rapper and recent Broadway star showed up to the villa to host a mini boys vs. girls game show, titled “Hot Girl Bakery,” featuring two games and lots of twerking.
The first game was musical chairs – or rather “cakes on cakes,” as the “chairs” were all cakes. It kind of spiraled into a twerk-off, but no one was mad about that.
The second game was human whack-a-mole, with contestants either throwing full-on cakes or blasting the “moles” with frosting guns, allowing them to air their grievances in a healthier(…?) way.
Fans were eating it up (pun intended).
Meg also stood up for the girls in the villa, calling out several male contestants for their less-than-stellar behavior. This season has seen a lot of entitlement from the men, as well as major double standards, and general poor treatment of the women.
While the girls were taking their turn as the “moles” in whack-a-mole, Meg paused to call out KC — who was at bat — for his treatment of Aniya. KC has been under fire for ditching Aniya, his original partner, to chase another contestant, and for lacking the backbone to admit or apologize for it.
Meg asked, “Do you feel like the things you said and did were respectful towards Aniya? ‘Cause you could have pursued [the other contestant] Titi without being disrespectful to Aniya?”
When KC asked how he had been disrespectful, Meg continued, “You don’t remember nothing that happened in Casa?” citing his behavior since Casa Amor.
Fans loved seeing Meg “humbling the men” of the season.
The episode ended with Meg announcing the return of two contestants. Amora and Carl popped out of giant cakes, having been voted back into the villa by the audience.
Finally, in her confessional, Meg hinted at her own summer fling, saying, “I’m not having a Love Island summer yet, but I feel like the girls in the villa are giving me the inspiration to explore.”
This comes only a few months after the rapper announced her split from basketball player Klay Thompson, hinting at cheating allegations.
