A man has died on board a Malaysia Airlines flight to Sydney after reportedly suffering an asthma attack on Wednesday. 

The man was travelling on flight MH141, which departed Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday morning local time and arrived at Sydney Airport at 7.40pm. 

The Daily Mail understands the man, an Indian national in his 70s, suffered an asthma attack during the eight-hour flight and later died. 

NSW Police have confirmed they are not investigating the matter. 

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told the Daily Mail that paramedics attended promptly after the plane arrived at the Mascot-based airport. 

Malaysia Airlines and Sydney Airport have been contacted for comment by the Daily Mail.
