Mail-Focused Convenience Stores : Royal Mail Shop

Collect+ has announced that thousands of its convenience stores will receive new Royal Mail Shop branding in an effort to help prioritize the retailer as a one-stop shop for picking up, sending and returning parcels. The locations will offer customers access to Royal Mail parcel postage and stamps, which will be available for in-person payment and online for advance purchases. The service is live in 500 shops now, but will see the entire rollout across 8,000 locations in the months ahead.

Interim Chief Executive of Royal Mail Alistair Cochrane commented on the Royal Mail Shop announcement saying, “The launch of the Royal Mail Shop brand creates a new and improved high street destination for all of our customers’ parcel needs in one location. With postage available to buy in store, and opening hours including evening and weekends, the shops are giving customers greater flexibility in how they collect, send and return their parcels.”
