A lovestruck woman who called on internet sleuths to find a handsome stranger who kissed her on a night out got an unexpected shock when social media users quickly unveiled his identity.
Maddie Griffith was on a night out at the Pink Monkey in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast last weekend when she met a man who left a lasting impression on her.
While Ms Griffith didn’t catch his name or ask for his number, her friend did snap a cute photo of the pair in a romantic clinch.
Desperate to find the mystery man she was convinced may be her ‘future husband’, Ms Griffith’s mate Valarie Porter uploaded the photo to TikTok asking for help.
Adding text over the image of Ms Griffith smiling at the camera alongside a man wearing a black T-shirt and sporting a mullet, she wrote:
‘POV: you meet your future husband at Pink Monkey and forget to ask what his name is,’ the post read.
‘This is Maddie. This is a man Maddie met in Burleigh on the weekend. Maddie knows absolutely F**k ALL about this man.
‘No name. No Instagram. No number. Just photographic evidence.’

The post then encouraged people to help track him down.
‘Gold Coast TikTok FIND HIM.’
It ended with a chart-topping soundtrack, ‘Where is my husband,’ by British singer-songwriter Raye.
Less than an hour after their plea for help went live, NRL player Arama Hau, 22, was identified as the man in the photo.
Known to his mates as Adz, Hau, who was born in New Zealand, plays for the Gold Coast Titans and regularly posts photos around the local area with his bulldogs Tommy and Frankie.
‘I think Maddie’s husband plays for the Titans,’ commented one person, with others posting photos of Hau on the field.
But what started as a light-hearted post soon took a different turn, with several people claiming the popular second-rower was already in a relationship.
‘My mates bf,’ wrote one user.

‘Best believe that man was flying incognito with no consequences and is not your husband. Can I get the update when the gf drops in,’ added another.
And many blamed Ms Griffith for being naïve.
‘If he didn’t give you his deets he is taken,’ warned one.
‘How could this Maddie be so silly,’ added another.
Eventually, Ms Griffith jumped into the comments to defend herself.
‘Guys why am I getting flamed, I am Maddie and I went up to a random guy and asked to get a couple picture and then left, that’s why I have no name, no number.’
To make matters even more confusing, Hau then entered the chat, leaving a comment tagging teammate Luke Sommerton and claiming he was the man in the photo, before deleting it shortly after.
But Daily Mail can confirm that Hau is single and, according to his mates, did ‘nothing untoward’, simply posing for a photo with someone he had assumed was a footy fan.
To make matters even more confusing, Hau then entered the chat, leaving a comment tagging teammate Luke Sommerton and claiming he was the man in the photo
Hau later deleted his comment on the post
‘He is a bit of a joker, which is why he tagged Luke,’ said a friend.
‘But then the post started to take off with loads of comments so he thought he better delete it.
‘Then that was taken as a sign of a guilty conscience, but he is actually a really lovely guy.
‘Close with his family, loves his dogs and very much single and was when that photo was taken too.’
