Snapchat Home Safe has been announced by the social media platform as its latest safety-focused feature that leverages its location-based capabilities. The app feature works by letting users share their live location information with designated friends, which will automatically let them know when you have arrived home safely without requiring any manual tracking or messaging. The feature will send a single alert before turning off automatically to provide peace of mind for users.

Snapchat Home Safe can be accessed by simply setting a home location on the Snap Map before tapping the Home Safe button when heading from a location back home. The automated nature of the feature will help users to keep friends or family updated, but in a decidedly hands-off manner.
