As we previously reported, Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son has been arrested on sexual assault and sodomy charges.
Kroy “KJ” Jr., the 15-year-old son of the estranged couple, was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Monday and charged with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault, according to court records obtained by Us Weekly.
He is currently being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
Many details about the alleged incident remain unclear, but KJ stands accused of assaulting a female victim at a gym in Alpharetta, Georgia.
On Friday afternoon, Kim issued a statement in which she maintained her son’s innocence.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” she tells TMZ, adding:
“He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”
Kim says her son “voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed.”
She claims that the alleged victim made “similar allegations involving two other people, which raises serious concerns that deserve to be carefully examined.”
She adds that false allegations can have “devastating consequences,” adding that “every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence.”
The arrest comes as the Bravo star Zolciak and Biermann, a former NFL player, continue to navigate their contentious divorce and custody battle.
The former couple married in 2011, the same year KJ was born.
They went on to welcome son Kash and twins Kaia and Kane, while Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two older daughters, Ariana and Brielle, from a previous relationship.
After more than a decade of marriage, Zolciak and Biermann filed for divorce in 2023. Their split has been anything but amicable, with both reality stars making accusations about one another during the ongoing legal proceedings.
Biermann previously sought sole custody of the couple’s minor children and accused Zolciak of neglect, claiming she was “unfit and unstable” to parent them.
Zolciak vehemently denied those allegations at the time.
Kroy has yet to publicly respond to the allegations against his son.
