Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry's first baby has arrived!

The couple announced the news in a joint Mother's Day post on Instagram on Sunday, May 10. The post features a close-up photo of their fingers interlocked with a baby's tiny hand.

“Mother. The newest part of me that became the best part of me the second we met. Motherhood has been the greatest joy of my life. Happy Mother's Day 🩵,” Wallace, 32, wrote in the caption.

The Landman actress did not reveal the baby's name or sex.

Representatives for the couple did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

The pair, who confirmed their marriage in September 2024, first announced their pregnancy over the holidays. 

“We can't wait to meet you, baby,” Wallace captioned a joint Instagram photo with McGarry, 41, on Nov. 11, 2025, adding a single red heart emoji to the text.

“Premiering 2026,” the Snowed in for Christmas actress concluded.

She and the Checkin' It Twice actor shared a sweet photo of themselves standing in front of a fully decorated Christmas tree to share their good news. Wallace wore a long-sleeved, form-fitting dress that showed off her growing baby bump, smiling as McGarry held her stomach.

The pair met on the set of When Calls the Heart, after they joined the series for season 6, which filmed in the summer of 2018 and premiered the following spring. 

By 2020, Wallace and McGarry's relationship was confirmed, and the costars-turned-couple announced their engagement just shy of Christmas in December 2022.

In addition to the series on which they met, the pair also teamed up for Hallmark Channel's 2022 movie Feeling Butterflies, with Wallace portraying Emily, the owner of a butterfly business.

That same year, they also appeared in Hallmark Channel's My Grown-Up Christmas List, a movie about a journalist and a military man bonding over the course of several Christmases.

In real life, once the cameras stop rolling, Wallace and McGarry have bonded over their dog named Darla, who made her online debut in March 2024.

The Canadian actor also previously told Entertainment Tonight ahead of their wedding that “there's always a chance” that he would get up onstage and sing to her on their wedding day.

“Champagne, I imagine, is being served so … there's a chance that could happen,” he said. “And Kayla too. We always play … music together.”

In the same interview, McGarry revealed that their shared love of music is “how it all started, actually."
