On Thursday, Kandi took to Instagram to share an emotional video announcing her nomination to the 2027 Songwriters Hall of Fame. While celebrating the recognition, she reflected on the difficult moments she’s experienced over the past year, explaining that despite everything that has been said about her, she continues to push forward.

“It’s been so much crazy stuff being said about me over this past year that sometimes, it’s real heavy, and I keep moving,” Kandi shared. She went on to say that the nomination served as confirmation that outside opinions and circumstances won’t stop what’s meant for her. “What God got for you is still gon’ happen. It’s still meant for you.”
